My father passed many years ago. My father was in our home while we grew up. I thought I was fortunate that he was physically present. Later I realized that he wasn’t emotionally spiritually and consciously. He had so much hate and pain and regret in his life, he couldn’t possibly be the father I needed. Its horrible that so many black men can’t wont don’t be the fathers we black boys need. But I love my Dad. And some how I believe they do what they do. Even if it’s nothing. Happy Fathers Day.
